Charles Turner became successful in the San Francisco real estate market because he developed the skills to sell properties and work with people early. Turner has long been known for his enthusiasm for working with others as a part of a common goal, a rare attitude in the real estate profession. After he worked for his mother’s real estate company, he developed the skill and experience to capitalize on that attitude and become a successful realtor. He continues to seek out quality real estate opportunities for investor clients. Here are his top three tips for success in the real estate market:

- Learn as much about your community as possible. When Charles Turner first started investing in real estate properties in San Francisco, at age 21, he researched and learned as much about each of the many neighborhoods and areas in the city so that he could give information about schools and community attributes to prospective buyers. In essence, you have to learn what your clients will want to know so you can give them the information they need.
- Use as many advertisement channels as possible. Charles Turner made a large initial investment in advertising services when he first started his career as a San Francisco realtor. These efforts created leads and overall interest in the properties he was selling and showing to clients.
- Don’t forget to network. Getting your start in real estate requires the help of many people. Don’t forget to try to add to your professional network as often as possible. The more people you have helping you by giving you information and directing clients your way, the more successful you’ll be in the short and long-term.
